I don’t know for how long it had been there, but I saw this sock as it rested on the wall in the first hours I arrived on Corsica, after leaving Italy. This is a momentary relationship between the intimacy of the personal everyday with the public nature of the wall, from above to below- or the interrupted drop along the wall. This activity (or stasis) backgrounded by one of the first walls I encountered after leaving a familiar place for a place unknown to me.
