On june 2010 Pietro Gaglianò asked us to participate at  The Wall (archirves).
We loved immediately such a nomadic and temporary identity of the project, both enduring and boundless. So we decided it shold be beautidul to enclose the archives behind a wall, in order to preserve it. As it happens during a war, or an invasion, and people is forced to escape and to protect documents, papers, photos: the memory of a place is hidden behind a wall, walled up. Any time we arrive in the venue that will host the archive and we built a wall, with bricks and concrete. Who wants visit the archive must make a gesture, a striking action, he/she has to take a position: to break down a wall and get in. The archives travels from town to town, and moves also the wall that hides it.

Nel giugno 2010 Pietro Gaglianò ci ha chiesto di partecipare a The Wall. Ci è subito piaciuta la natura nomade e peritura ma allo stesso tempo duratura e sconfinata del progetto. Così abbiamo pensato che sarebbe stato bello chiudere ogni volta l’archivio dietro a un muro, per preservarlo. Come succede quando, durante una guerra o un’invasione, si è costretti a fuggire di corsa e per mettere in salvo documenti, carte, fotografie, in poche parole la memoria di un luogo, la si nasconde dietro una parete, la si mura perché non venga trovata o distrutta. Ogni volta arriviamo, tiriamo su una parete e muriamo l’archivio. Chi vorrà visitarlo dovrà compiere un gesto, un’azione eclatante, una presa di posizione: abbattere un muro per poter entrare. L’archivio si muove di città in città, e con lui il muro che lo nasconde.
