A man swings low past fire, over roof tops. From one place to the next he spans barriers through the leap; before and after, this roof to that, sky to floor. Underneath the act, a fact: it’s an act. A permanent Wild West side show of cinematic recreation. Now he passes through another wall: reality, while propping up still one more: history. A one man band performing the past of performing. Lesson: one should always approach walls in costume, always.
Un uomo penzola appeso a una fune sullo sfondo di un edificio in fiamme. Da un luogo all’altro attraversa barriere saltando; prima e dopo, da un tetto all’altro, dal cielo al suolo. Sotto la recitazione, un fatto: è una recitazione. Una permanente ricreazione cinematografica dal sapore western. Ora lui passa attraverso un altro muro. Una pellicola con un solo protagonista che interpreta le finzioni del passato. Morale: uno dovrebbe sempre affrontare i muri in costume, sempre.
